《오아르미술관, 경주에 스며들다 – Spatial Connection - 》

오아르미술관은 개관 1주년을 맞아 건축 자체가 하나의 예술작품이자 미술관의 정체성을 형성하는 중요한 요소임을 조명하는 사진전 「오아르미술관, 경주에 스며들다 – Spatial Connection」을 개최한다. 이번 전시는 미술관의 설계 과정과 공간 철학을 소개함으로써, 오아르미술관이 경주의 역사적 풍경과 어떻게 관계를 맺으며 형성되었는지를 관람객과 함께 되돌아보는 자리로 마련된다. 특히 건축가 유현준의 설계 철학과 건축적 접근이 실제 공간으로 구현되는 과정을 살펴보며, 미술관이라는 장소가 단순한 전시 공간을 넘어 지역과 관람객, 예술을 연결하는 매개체로 기능하는 방식을 탐색한다. 

전시는 유현준건축사사무소에서 제공한 초기 컨셉 스케치와 대지 분석 자료, 시공 이전의 기록 사진 등을 통해 오아르미술관 건립 과정의 주요 장면을 소개하고, 건축적 특징과 공간적 포인트를 이해할 수 있도록 구성된다. 또한 관람객 참여 프로그램으로 오아르미술관을 주제로 한 사진 공모전을 함께 진행하여, 미술관을 바라보는 다양한 시선과 경험을 공유하고자 한다. 공모를 통해 선정된 사진 작품들은 전시 공간에 함께 소개되며, 미술관과 관람객 사이의 새로운 관계와 기억을 형성하는 계기를 마련할 것이다. 이번 전시는 건축 과정의 기록을 공유함으로써 미술관 공간의 가치를 재조명하는 동시에, 관람객 참여형 프로그램을 통해 지역 커뮤니티와의 소통을 확장하고자 하는 데 목적이 있다.

《OAR Museum : Immersed in Gyeongju – Spatial Connection》

To celebrate its first anniversary, the OAR Museum of Art is hosting a photography exhibition titled "OAR Museum, Infiltrating Gyeongju - Spatial Connection," which highlights how architecture itself is a work of art and a crucial element in shaping the museum's identity. This exhibition introduces the museum's design process and spatial philosophy, offering visitors a chance to reflect on how the OAR Museum of Art was formed through its relationship with the historical landscape of Gyeongju. Specifically, it examines the process by which architect Yoo Hyun-joon's design philosophy and architectural approach were realized in practice, exploring how the museum, as a place, transcends mere exhibition space and functions as a medium connecting the local community, visitors, and art.

 The exhibition, presented through initial concept sketches, site analysis data, and pre-construction photographs provided by Yoo Hyun-joon Architects, showcases key moments from the OAR Museum's construction process, fostering an understanding of its architectural features and spatial significance. Furthermore, a photo contest themed on the OAR Museum of Art will be held as part of a visitor participation program, aiming to share diverse perspectives and experiences with the museum. The photographic works selected through a public contest will be showcased in the exhibition space, creating an opportunity to forge new relationships and memories between the museum and its visitors. This exhibition aims to shed new light on the value of museum space by sharing records of the construction process, while also expanding communication with the local community through participatory programs.
